Mrs. Charlotte Kesson-Smith Osei was born on 1 February, 1969 in Nigeria. She obtained her LLB in 1992 at the Ghana School of Law and was called to the bar in 1994. She was the chairperson of the National commission for Civic Education in 1994. She is the current and first female to serve as the chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
