Clifford is Chairman and CEO of Frontline Capital Advisors (FCA) an investment banking firm he founded in Accra, Ghana in 2009. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of African Financial Services Ltd., one of the largest Savings and Loans Companies in Ghana. And is a co-founding member of the African University College of Communications (AUCC) Pension’s Academy in Ghana. Prior to founding FCA, Clifford was Senior Vice President and Director of Research at Piedmont Investment Advisors in Durham North Carolina, USA. Clifford also worked for eleven years as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at NCM Capital Management Group where he developed and implemented strategies for NCM Capital’s $6 billion portfolio. He was the Portfolio Manager for the $2.2 billion Dreyfus Third Century Fund and Dreyfus Socially Responsible from 1994-2000.
Clifford is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. Mary’s University and an MBA from Dalhousie University in Canada. He is a well-respected figure in the global investment community. Throughout his over 26 years career in investment management he has been guest panellist at various conferences on investing in the U.S.A. and Africa.
Clifford has been interviewed and quoted in various national and local business publications including Fortune, The Wall Street Transcript, The Raleigh News and Observer, Black Enterprise, CMA Controller’s Quarterly, CFA Conference Proceedings and Emerging Markets Weekly.
